Just bought a Seamaster Aqua Terra GMT chrono. I am not sure if there may be a problem with the crown. When screwing it down, it does not stop turning, unlike my Rolexes .
I am looking for advise and/or help on my Seamaster 300M , Ref 2223.80.00, Cal 1538 watch which has a broken Crown / Stem as in 3 pictures below. Just bought a Seamaster Aqua Terra GMT chrono. I am not sure if there may be a problem with the crown. When screwing it down, it does not stop turning, unlike my Rolexes which "lock" when they screw down. I think you need to remove the stem from the crown and insert the nipple end of the stem in to the bottom of the case tube and then push the case tube into the crown.
